Very overpriced food and wine, poor availability and unfriendly staff made this yet another Brissy restaurant I will not be going back to....
The price listed for steaks only equals a piece of meat, no sides or sauces, so you’re starting with a $30-60 steak and adding on from there. For a side of potato bake add $10, for fries around $7, vegetables are around $9-12 a serve and a moderate dish of sauce is around $6 .... They state that a couple could easily share the side dishes, they obviously expect one person to have 2 mushrooms and 3 fries ...
Now for the crab??? Yes we're in a crab house and ask to order mud crab, but tonight, a Saturday night, they don't have mud crab ... how can you be a steak and crab restaurant without any crab .... one of the main reasons we ended up at your restaurant and very disappointing. My partner who wanted the grab then decided on the carpet bag steak, that was supposed to be filled with scallops to fulfil the desire for seafood and he was rewarded with a massive 2 scallops!
For a ghastly bottle of white wine that you'd pay $8 for from the bottleshop you'll be paying $30-40 at Kingsley's and the on tap beer selection is marginal.
Staff were inattentive, which one would expect when paying $65 each for a steak and sides. If you want a decent steak at a reasonable price, try the Norman or Morrison instead ....

I am very disappointed with the food.
I treated my partner to Kingsleys for his birthday dinner on September 19. Our steaks were overcooked --- the supposedly medium rare petite eye fillet became medium well and the supposedly medium well angus fillet became not just well done, but overly done. The former was still quite good, but the latter was bitter from being scorched and a tad dry and tough from being overcooked.
I was very embarrassed because it was my partner who got the bad steak (with Kingsleys being a steak place and the dinner was supposed to have been a treat for him!) and he didn't tell me about his dissatisfaction until we got home. I've written to Kingsleys about our feedback and I haven't received any response from them.
