Just to give a bit of balance, I went to James Street Bistro on Monday night ater 5.30 with a view to catching a 6.30 film. We did get good service from the waiting staff who were friendly and prompt. The food was a little slow in coming and came out at about 5 past 6 but we were in time for our movie.
Hey Nicola - glad you had a good experience. I had a similar experience as Freaky. The service was slow and indifferent. The food was good though.
Hard to review a place when you walk out before even getting served. The staff here seemed pretentious, disinterested and too cool for their own good. We were told to sit anywhere we liked, then sat unattended while four staff members chatted amongst themselves. We left and went next door to Luxe, where the service was friendly and fantastic. The food at Luxe was superb too.
