Hey ChrisO - I love AJ too!
I often call ahead to pop down and pick up the spring roll vermicelli salad. It's absolutely delicious, fresh and made to order, and awesome value at less than $8.
I've never eaten in as the place is a little too small for my liking, but the take-away is second-to-none.
I've been buying lunch from here for years now and it's still really good, and always fresh. The place is tiny, and always crammed full of people from before midday so expect to wait on the footpath for a table, or phone ahead for takeaway.
They do a lemongrass beef salad for about eight bucks, or three cold rolls for about five if you've already spent all your lunch money on coffee.
Given the very few options for Vietnamese in the city (what's up with that?!) I'm grateful they're still around.
